Financial Analyst - Depository Receipts

Grow your career as a Financial Analyst - Depository Receipts with an innovative global bank in Jersey City, NJ. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week. Will be responsible for processing ADR Dividend payments for both company programs.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The events and transactions being processed include the distribution of announcements for dividend events, initiating the instruction of the FX from foreign currency to USD and funding the paying agent for the distribution of proceeds. Will work closely with several areas including front office teams, foreign custodians, third party vendors and brokers.
  • Apply analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies to dividend payment processing.
  • Oversee the announcement and payment of dividend events related to American Depositary Receipts, Global Depositary Receipts and Global Depositary Notes.
  • Team activities include creation and distribution of announcements related to dividend events as well as facilitating FX of foreign currencies to USD and funding or paying agent.
  • Minimize risk to the bank through the appropriate application of procedural requirements and adherence to audit and control policies.
  • Work closely with team members, I.T. department and other areas of the business in order to develop solutions that will enhance and improve processing while adhering to company and industry standards.
  • Assist other team and department members during periods of high volume, provide back-up coverage and perform other duties as assigned by Team Lead.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or higher or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in dividend analysis.
  • Related industry experience.
  • Operational knowledge of the finance industry.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, experience with PowerPoint beneficial.
  • Analytical ability to research and resolve complex issues.
