Position: Federal Project Coordinator
Location: Herndon, Virginia 20171
Term: 12 months
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:  
  • Coordinates with internal (engineering, contracting, finance, procurement) and external (customer) organizations to create and update MS Project schedules for ISP and OSP construction projects
  • Keeps upper management informed of schedule changes that impact project end date. 
  • Coordinates and leads weekly schedule status meetings
  • Collects data and updates project status using MS project
  • Collects data and updates narrative status reports using MS Word
  • Makes recommendations on process improvements related to project and organizational processes
  • Establish and lead working groups to address process issues

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):  
  • Experience, knowledge, and ability to use MS Project at an expert level a must
  • Knowledge of predecessors, and impact to end dates on changes within project schedules
  • Ability to make recommendations to accelerate or fast track schedules
  • Knowledge of lag, float and critical path impact on schedule
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Project, Excel, and Power Point
  • Must have strong people skills and be able to work in a group/team environment
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Able to work on reports, schedules, and spreadsheets for extended periods
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage documentation and schedules
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation.)
  • US Citizenship required, ability to obtain Secret clearance

Even better if you have: 
  • CPAM certification
  • Two years of experience in telecommunications project management
