Our client, a leading healthcare data analysis company headquartered in Raleigh, NC is in search of a .NET Developer to join their growing team.  If you have experience coding in C# and enjoy a combination of code enhancement and new development, this is the job for you.

Details:
Duration- 6 month contract to hire, direct hire possible from day 1 as well.
Location- 100% remote but must live in the state of North Carolina.

Description:
POSITION SUMMARY Contributes to all phases of software application development lifecycle. Delivers high quality technical solutions and third-level support on-time and in accordance with established standards. Works with internal and external clients, as well as third party vendors to resolve technical and application issues. Performs mostly development in a support/maintenance capacity with some limited new development.

Essential Functions
• Work independently and collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test and maintain web- and desktop-based business applications (generally built on Microsoft technologies). • Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans. • Design, develop and unit test applications in accordance with established standards • Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software • Plan, package and support deployment of releases • Participate in peer-reviews of solutions designs and related code • Develop, refine and tune integrations between applications. • Analyze and resolve technical and applications problems. • Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties. • Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget • Provide third-level support to business users • Research and evaluate a variety of software products • Undertake small analysis projects in the form of consultancy

Qualifications • 3+ years’ experience as a Software Developer • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline Page 2 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Proficient with Microsoft .NET development using C# • Experience with database development including relational development design, SQL and ORM technologies • Experience with source control management systems • Experience with agile development methodologies • Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization • Experience in requirements capture, analysis techniques and process improvements approaches • Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories • Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment, prioritize, multi-task and deliver quality work on-time • Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders • Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems and processes • Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information and adhere to data security and confidentiality standards, protocols, and procedures • Ability to adapt to change and learn domain knowledge and new technologies. •

Preferred: Experience with user interface design and prototyping
Preferred: Healthcare software domain experience.
