Director of Internal Communications - Alpharetta, GA

Fortune500 company seeking a Director of Internal Communications for their Alpharetta office. This Director of Internal Communications will work  with the Corporate Communications team to enhance and support the company’s internal communications programs. This role will work closely with executive leadership and other organizational stakeholders to support an internal communications strategy that aligns with company’s vision, culture and business goals.   

This Internal Communications team works as an invaluable business partner across brands,  geography's and corporate functions to provide guidance, shape communications objectives, and develop and execute meaningful communications plans. The Director of Internal Communications will be instrumental in enhancing and continuing to develop the internal communication strategy and plans to support business requirements and deliver desired outcomes.  

To be successful, this individual must be able to operate at a strategic level and be a true partner to leadership. Equally, they must be able to get into the details, operate at a tactical level and be able to drive the execution of initiatives.  Key requirements include, proven leadership ability and presence, comfort with ambiguity in fast-paced environments, and self-discipline to autonomously produce exceptional results.   

Ideal candidate has 10+ years experience owning responsibility for development and execution of transformational internal communications strategies which includes content creation, executive messaging, employee engagement, corporate culture, HR, business continuity, crisis management, M&A, community affairs, and DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion). Experience with global B2B technology or FinTech organization is ideal. Must have a creative approach to communicating strategy through a wide variety of mediums. Must have a move-with-urgency mindset & effectively juggle competing priorities. Exceptional writing, editing & proofreading skills are non-negotiable.
