Are you an experienced Data Engineer with data warehouse skills looking to share your knowledge?   In this role you will be able to assist with the architecture design and recommend the tech stack/stand up a new project. Great opportunity to create solutions.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and implement cloud storage solutions using Azure
  • Work with the IS Infrastructure team to implement and maintain business intelligence, analytics data infrastructure, and cloud platforms ensuring that the data is secure in-transit and at rest
  • Identify and select appropriate PaaS and SaaS technologies to meet business requirements for the data platform
  • Build and maintain cloud data architecture to store, catalog, and report large data sets from transactional data systems, SaaS applications, and other structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • Implement processes to capture time series data from IoT devices
Identify and replace legacy and unsupported technologies such as Informatica with cloud technologies
  • Identify and integrate data from disparate internal and external sources into the data platform
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using IPaaS or SaaS applications for all internal business applications, SaaS applications, IoT and streaming data, and external business data sources
  • Work with the application development team to identify, validate, and maintain the data integrity in the business applications
  • Develop, validate, and maintain accurate, maintainable, and timely enterprise data models to meet current and future business requirements
  • Collaborate with the analytics team, business users, application development, IT infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to implement data models and data solutions
  • Work with other departments within the organization to develop novel ways to model, analyze, and utilize business data to drive operational and financial results
  • Model and analyze time series data from various sources including IoT devices and business applications
  • Maintain the integrity and security of the data providing technical solutions that enable data governance at the user and role level
  • Create technical documentation, test solutions, and work to resolve any issues with BI applications/models

Required Experience:

  • Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines for ERPs
  • Data warehouse design and administration experience
  • Python
  • SQL
  • Experience with cloud data platforms

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency creating tables, views, and stored procedures using T-SQL and PL/SQL
  • Azure platform experience
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, SQL Server, SSDT, Power BI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with extracting data from business software using common API structures such as REST or SOAP
  • Data visualization and report design

Preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency creating tables, views, and stored procedures using T-SQL and PL/SQL
  • Data warehouse design and administration experience
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, DataBricks, etc.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, SQL Server, SSDT, Power BI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with extracting data from business software using common API structures such as REST or SOAP
  • Experience using R, Python, or other programming languages
  • Data visualization and report design
