Position: Data Analyst (Remote)
Location: Des Moines, IA 50392 - Remote
Term: 6 months
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Provide insight and execute data strategies and systems for business unit products and services in a manner that aligns with business unit strategic goals, is cost effective, and efficient.
  • Develop and deliver reports and dashboards, conduct data profiling, and execute analysis projects to assist in better decision making.
  • Highlight significant findings with excellent data storytelling techniques.
  • Efficiently aggregate, cleanse, prepare and present data.
  • Develop & maintain programs that provide regular reports and metrics efficiently and on time.
  • Work as a part of cross-functional teams to deliver on large projects, providing data, dashboards and analysis that contributes to a larger objective.
  • Work with peers in the BI community to advance our design standards, dashboard templates, and best practices.
  • Work closely with partners in data governance, privacy, and data engineering to ensure accurate, compliant, and ethical use of data.
  • Comply with a Code of Ethics which covers a number of obligations related to personal and business conduct as well as personal trading activities for you and members of your household. These same requirements may also apply to other positions across the organization.
 
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 4 - 6 years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of data visualization theories, basic statistics, and database concepts.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence application development and SQL.
  • Strong Power BI and DAX experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of/aptitude for business unit applications.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, math, and statistical skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Accurate and pay strong attention to detail.
 
Even better if you have:
  • Math, science, or business degrees.
  • Previous experience working with financial services or highly confidential data.
  • Experience with AWS or other Cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of company business unit products including plan design, stakeholders, financial metrics, and investment knowledge.
