Grow your career as a Data Analyst with an innovative global bank in New York, NY. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week. Will be responsible for various data activities including data analysis, maintenance, quality, lineage, flow, consumption, production.

Responsibilities:
  • Require following established guidelines for identifying and resolving problems.
  • Assist in root cause analysis related to data quality issues and regulatory drivers.
  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders and development team to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and validate business requirements.
  • Contribute to work flow or process change and redesign, and to form a basic understanding of the specific product or process.
  • Aggregate and document critical data elements including flows for each system tied to a deliverable.
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively problem solve, and the ability to engage resources outside of their direct control to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to implement data quality initiatives in line with the initiatives of the group.
  • Lead impact analysis process to identify any upstream/downstream data implications.
  • Conduct sessions with IT teams, middle and front office staff to accurately capture data requirements.
  • Create user stories, business & data flow diagrams, activity/state diagrams, and swim lane diagrams.
  • Ability to identify, triage, escalate and remediate data issues independently.

Qualifications:
  • 5 to 8 years of previous financial services experience, preferably in a large-scale institutional bank.
  • Must focus on data lineage, data quality, data governance. Must be able to triage data quality.
  • Experience must align with banking & lending. Prefer experience in wealth management.
  • Ability to address data issues and communicate with stakeholders to elicit requisitions and do solutioning.
  • Must understand systems and how they communicate and how data flows, consumption, structure.
  • Analytical tool reporting experience. Able to use data analytics to identify trends, patterns.
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must be able to aggregate data and utilize it within tools to depict or interpret data trends/anomalies.
  • Experience with product taxonomy and concept knowledge.
  • Business and/or Tech specifications experience.
  • Prefer experience with Collibra, Visio, Excel.
  • Prefer regulatory reporting.
