Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced In-house Construction Coordinator to join an existing team of Coordinators working many types of HFC/Broadband projects to include, BAU, spans, relocations, Hyperbuild, Newbuild, Metro-E, etc. This role will report to Project Management. These individuals are responsible for overseeing/monitoring the activities of Construction Technicians and/or contractors to ensure new construction, repair, and system maintenance activities are completed in accordance with established standards. Administers some aspects of construction activities, including materials, labor, and resource allocation planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage construction and teams of multiple HFC Outside/Inside plant projects simultaneously
  • Bill of Material planning  
  • Responsible for Quality Control and accurate as-built documentation
  • Responsible for final payment to construction teams and final digital packages to facilitate client billing
  • Responsible for timely updates to management teams and clients
  • Need to be able to communicate effectively and be able to track project lifecycle via Excel, Smartsheet, Database or other digital platforms
  • Ensure all construction projects have a clear/accurate scope and maintain accurate timelines for project
  • Analyze tasks associated with a project to ensure all Labor and Materials are in place prior to kickoff
  • Deploy, manage, track Construction teams
  • Ability to recognize/enforce Safe working environments in Public Right-of-Way environments and inside-plant construction projects
  • Ability to perform Quality Control through lifecycle of project to ensure Company and project standards/expectations are maintained.

Required Job Skills:

  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in telecom (HFC) construction
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of HFC design  
  • Possession of a valid Driver's license and good driving record
  • Must pass drug screening and background check
  • Educated on local area dig laws
  • Strong leadership skills to mentor and influence subcontractors and vendors
  • Customer service acumen to interpret, communicate, and help deliver client needs
  • Impressive ability to organize and prioritize projects
  • Computer proficiency and Microsoft tools to create, manage, and present data and reporting to various stakeholders and management
  • Strong communication skills, ability to adjust delivery to your audience verbally and in writing, and work within a team environment  
  • Must be able to walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day rain or shine
  • Ability to be at work every day at 7A Eastern
  • Ability to occasionally be On-Call for after-hours emergency work or work overtime occasionally to meet project demands
  • Ability to speak fluent English
  • Ability to read and understand technical instruction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with QuickBase
  • Some Project Management experience
  • College degree in Construction Management or Engineering

Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
