Job Title: Construction Coordinator
Location: Frederick, MD   
Job Description:
  • An experienced Construction Coordinator will work many types of Cable TV/Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC)/Broadband projects to include, BAU, spans, relocations, Hyperbuild, Newbuild, Metro-E, etc. This role will report to Project Management. These individuals are responsible for new construction, repair, and system maintenance activities to be completed in accordance with established standards. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to handle multiple HFC Outside/Inside plant projects simultaneously
  • Provide accurate as-built documentation
  • Responsible for timely updates to management teams and maintain accurate timelines for project
  • Need to be able to communicate effectively and be able to track project lifecycle via Excel, Smartsheet, Database or other digital platforms
  • Recognize/enforce Safe working environments in Public Right-of-Way environments and inside-plant construction projects
  • Perform quality control through lifecycle of project to ensure company and project standards are maintained
  • Additional duties as directed by the area project manager
Required Job Skills:
  • 18 Months to 2 years of experience in OSP mainline Cable TV/Hybrid fiber coax (HFC) construction
  • Understanding of HFC design and ability to read technical instruction
  • Terminology like Fiber Nodes, Amps, Line Extenders, Power Supplies, Forward/Return, Taps, etc
  • Experience splicing mainline coax trunk and feeder
  • A sure fit will have experience as a OSP mainline Cable TV/HFC Lineman, Maintenance Tech, or Coax Splicer
  • The candidate will thrive if they have prior experience working for Comcast, Cox, Charter 
  • Must pass drug screening, background check, and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Customer service acumen to interpret, communicate, and help deliver client needs
  • Ability to organize and prioritize projects
  • Computer proficiency and Microsoft tools to create, manage, present data and reporting
  • Be at work every day at 7A Eastern
  • Occasionally be on-call for after-hours emergency work or work overtime occasionally to meet project demands
  • Speak fluent English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with P2, Spatial, or QuickBase
  • Experience with rPhy
  • OSP mainline Fiber Splicing
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
