We are seeking a Compensation Analyst in Houston, TX for a long-term, 12 month+ contract opportunity. The function of the Compensation Analyst is to  provide analytical support for compensation processes to meet business objectives in the area of global compensation. The primary support will be in the US, with cross functional support on projects in other regions as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support during the annual bonus and merit cycle to include various data analyses and maintenance of internal templates
  • Perform job evaluation and pricing requests using general and industry-specific competitive market data
  • Assist in salary survey submissions and tracking of surveys; provide backup to the team as required
  • Provide counsel as needed to Human Resources colleagues on compensation issues; respond to questions applying high customer satisfaction standards
  • Participate in the documentation and communication of compensation plans and policies within the company
  • Participate as a project member in projects that may arise during the year
  • Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of global compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Perform ad-hoc projects to support the Global Compensation team and Human Resources colleagues throughout the year as needed


Requirements
 

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in compensation (required)
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Management, Finance or related field (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with Human Resources colleagues and management
  • Ability to work on multiple, diverse projects in a fast-paced environment
