Cloud Solutions Architect - 100% REMOTE

Global FinTech organization seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to help lead cloud based SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS solution architecture efforts across the enterprise.  This is NOT a hands-on building role, this is a consulting position providing architecture design and solutioning across all lines of business around the globe!

We are seeking an avid technologist with deep public cloud expertise and a solid foundation in designing and driving the implementation of large-scale commercial enterprise-class cloud software, using cloud principles and architectural patterns.  

Day-to-Day responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with solution teams on design & integration efforts
  • Participate in advancing architecture discipline across the enterprise
  • Evaluate Cloud platform services
  • Conduct product evaluation and provide recommendations
  • Contribute to the development of shared services and DevOps pipeline 
  • Perform code quality and architecture analysis and provide improvement recommendations
  • Define Target Architecture and Operational Models as needed
  • Analyze legacy systems and provide Target and Transition Architecture in compliance with Enterprise Architecture TAM and reference models
  • Work with Compliance and Security teams to integrate their requirements into Architecture practices
  • Establish functional and non-functional test requirements 
  • Help advance automation efforts across the Enterprise
  • Create Reference Architecture and Building Blocks
  • Create a unified strategy for GCP, AWS and Azure cloud transformation governance, automation, security, implementation, and operations
  • Design, prototype and deliver cloud-native solutions, leverage platform rich services offering
  • Prepare cloud guidance, standards, requirements, design, and ensure that the end product is aligned to the cloud strategy and overall enterprise architecture standards


Ideal candidate has a good mix of the following:

  • Hands-on experience designing, building, maintaining, and securing cloud microservices, IaaS and PaaS solutions for highly available business critical cloud-based systems
  • Hands-on experience automating configuration management and deploying PaaS solutions in private and public cloud using IaC tools
  • Driving cloud security and compliance requirements into the cloud architecture framework, including for the data integration points with on-premise and other cloud systems
  • Presenting technical concepts and specific solutions to internal audiences of varying technical capabilities in a clear, concise and easily understood manner
  • Defining and documenting the cloud reference architecture and driving its implementation across all the cloud components aligning with Enterprise Architecture
  • Being the evangelist of cloud architecture and influencing technical leaders to adhere to the architectural frameworks & its principles
  • Provide reference implementations and sample repositories that can be utilized across the enterprise
  • Possess working knowledge with implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, working knowledge in container and container management technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, DC/OS) as well as SQL and NoSQL technologies 
  • Experience with data management and data integration technologies (Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, other)
  • Experience with API Management and API Gateway and Developer Portal solutions
  • Experience evaluating existing application design and making recommendations for enhancing applications to leverage cloud technology and services
  • Experience having successfully guided the refactoring of a large monolithic application into multiple, micro-services
  • Experience and understanding of large scale infrastructure deployments in enterprise-wide environments required
  • Excellent active listening skills that enable you to understand the goals and challenges to craft meaningful solutions
