Seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a direct hire opportunity.
 
Responsible for helping Pioneer leverage technology as a competitive advantage. Scope of responsibilities may include business analysis, project management, and working with applications, systems, data, databases, processes, architecture, and security.

Major Responsibilities:
Under general direction:
  • Participates in projects in current domain eliciting requirements, managing and modeling validated requirements, assessing and presenting possible solutions, and coordinating solution delivery efforts with a variety of internal and external partners, developers, contractors, and project management teams.
  • Supports applications, systems, data, and databases on Windows, Citrix, and/or Linux systems.
  • Works with IT, Business, and corporate teams. 
  • May support company engineers, scientists, and technicians in the use of petroleum engineering, geoscience, GIS, and SCADA applications, databases, and systems.
  • May support corporate business systems.
  • Learning best practices with respect to the planning, design, infrastructure, implementation and use of information technology and information management systems and processes.
  • Entry level understanding of strategic and tactical planning for the design and use of information management and technology; information technology architecture planning; evaluation, selection and implementation of methodologies, tools and techniques for specification, design and construction of information management systems; evaluation and recommendations for selection of hardware system components and system software, process control software and application software; training and education; and, implementation of information management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of company enterprise systems and associated interdependencies.
  • Growing oil and gas industry knowledge.
  • Leverages existing tools, templates, and processes to define business needs, assess capability gaps, and define the value of recommended solutions.    
  • Demonstrates ability to facilitate meetings.
  • Displays ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Leverages multiple requirements elicitation techniques.
  • Demonstrates ability to walk through more complex change on the Change Advisory Board.
  • Communicates with functional leads.
  • Internal applicants should meet all eligibility requirements per employee handbook.  
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; consideration given for related technical and/or oil and gas experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years related experience is required; consideration given for related technical aptitude.
  • ECBA certification is a plus.
  • Must be able to translate business requirements into technical requirements for solution development.
  • Must be able to manage workload and prioritize across multiple projects.
  • Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills to manage workflows, projects, and people.
  • Must have effective collaboration and persuasion skills, with strong business acumen and sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment solving complex business problems.
  • Must have basic understanding of information technology, business concepts, and typical interdependencies.
  • Must be able to work independently to perform complex analysis, demonstrate initiative, desire, and ambition to learn and take on additional tasks.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
