MATRIX has partnered with a premier client in filling an urgent Direct-Hire role where you will work onsite 3 days a week in a beautiful office located in Downtown Chicago (2 days remote).

Are you a Global Practice Technical Applications Manager who is just as strong as a manager as they are hands on with their technical skills?  Are you an expert managing high profile initiatives working with high level stakeholders and executive leaders within an organization?  Have you previously hired your dream team....would you want to get that chance?  Do you flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced environment?

  • Must have Managed developers – had a team of developers reporting to them, managed their career progression, direct line of responsibility, will be hiring, developing, and disciplining them, may have to fire them
  • Will be the Technical manager – manage software development teams
  • Someone who is still somewhat technical, appreciate for the technical, can operate in the technical discussion and can facilitate those technical architecture discussions to assess “fit for purpose” if things can work
  • Doesn’t expect these people to write .net code
  • MS Tech Stack – Azure, Agile, .NET, SQL
  • Do they know what Power Platform is and can they articulate what the different components are and what they would use each aspects for…
  • Insights into each components would be nice, experience managing people with these components would be nice to have
  • General background App/Dev Manager - Senior Level (10+ years experience)
    • Come in day 1 and get hands dirty (light touch technology)
    • Build team of 2-3 developers within 1st year
  • Must already have management experience as they will be dealing with Chairman of firm and/or senior partners (high visibility and white glove type person)
  • Microsoft Power Platform
  • Could be a product manager as well or technical product manager
  • Will be managing products and people
  • Primary clients are not in IT (they are the innovation team – new team sitting outside of IT and they are global – light touch technologists such as BA and designers who provide requirements and pass it back to the development team to develop and integrate)
  • Personality Traits
  • Need responsive, dynamic and maneuver quickly
  • High energy, open to take on challenges, go-getter, great communication skills
