Position:  AWS Developer

Location:  Open to Remote

Term:  6 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Qualifications: * Associate's or Bachelor's degree with a preference in a science, technology, engineering, or math related field or equivalent work experience * Object oriented software, data engineering or cloud experience (professional, academic, or community exposure) * The preferred candidates will have 6+ years of professional technology experience and exposure to many of the preferred skills/technologies listed below Additional preferred technical experience: * Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience) and 6+ years related work experience or equivalent experience * Software engineering/programming expertise (Python, .NET, and TypeScript most common) * Cloud experience (AWS) * DevOps exposure * Excellent coaching, problem solving, analytical, and decision making skills are required * Must have the desire to learn new technology and continuously grow * Solution Architecture experience preferred Keys to success in this position: * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, collaborative environment * Eagerness to learn independently. * Ability to challenge the status quo For positions with Principal Global Investors, you will be required to comply with a Code of Ethics which covers a number of obligations related to personal and business conduct as well as personal trading activities for you and members of your household. Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

The current project is a modernization effort to migrate our business capabilities into Cloud and build new UI applications. The team uses paired programming technique and also TDD. The team follows a mix of Kanban and Scrum. This is a highly motivated and self-governing team. Technologies or systems that will be utilized are GitHub, GitHub Actions, AWS services, Node, React, NoSQL, TypeScript  Technologies considered “similar” or “transferable” for this position are Azure, GCP.  The team is involved in PUPP systems of Sales Comp Technologies that deal with calculation of commission for our Distribution Partners
