Position: Associate Event Planner
Location: New York, NY 10281
Term: 7 months
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Coordinates meetings and events and related projects from conception to completion.
- Source hotel and venue sites and negotiate contracts where requested.
- Delivers ideas and information in a concise, professional, and informative manner.
- Infuses creative, unique, and exclusive ideas into the fabric of all corporate events to enhance the end-user customer experience.
- On-site event management which includes evenings, early mornings, and a handful of weekends and might require domestic travel.
- Identifies and provides solutions to opportunities while making appropriate decisions quickly and decisively.
- The role consists of miscellaneous special projects and priorities which will add on as needed.
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2-4 years of corporate event planning experience, preferably within financial services.
- Demonstrates a consistent sense of urgency coupled with accuracy.
- Adaptable in a constantly changing environment and can multi-task.
- High energy
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Innovative and forward-thinking in relation to hybrid virtual platforms and social media
- Exhibits a proven track record of high-quality customer service.
- Flexible / Open minded/has the ability to see objective points of view within situations.
- Team Player
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Suite, Cvent, Salesforce, AMEX Travel, and Concur.
