Applications Developer 
6-month Contract 

  • Duties and Tasks:
    • Uses development and applications administration skills in the configuration and maintenance of on-prem implementation of Remedy ITSM 20.02, AR System and Digital Workplace.
    • Triages and resolves new and existing incidents and work orders of varying degrees of complexity related to Remedy ITSM 20.02, AR System and Digital Workplace
    • Provides on-call support including off-hours availability on rotation
    • Possesses strong interpersonal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with senior managers, end users and IT staff to resolve or complete reported issues and requests.
    • Develops new integrations by consulting and collaborates with stakeholders (senior managers, end users and IT staff) on requirements specification, solution design, prototype plans, developing and testing code, release, and supporting issue analysis and resolution
    • Ensures application interoperability with IT infrastructure components while ensuring compliance with wide-ranging information security requirements
    • Ensures application integration interoperability with other applications or subsystems (e.g. interface management, data integration systems, job automation)
    • Troubleshoots and debug applications
    • Evaluates existing application and integration code to reprogram, update and add new features
    • Recommends coding fixes to resolve outstanding issues and work to enhance applications to automate business process as best possible
    • Develops technical documents to accurately represent application design and code

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • 4+ years’ experience as a developer and/or application administrator for Remedy ITSM, AR System and Digital Workplace
    • 4+ years’ experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting web-service integrations (REST, SOAP) between Remedy and other systems.
    • Understands business stakeholder requirements, gain a thorough understanding of their desired business outcomes, and how they translate in application features
    • Exhibits subject matter expertise and in-depth application administration knowledge
    • Strong understanding of software design and programming principles.
    • Proven organizational skills including superior ability handle multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously; a track record of exercising independent judgment appropriately; and the ability to quickly understand and execute complex assignments
