January Agenda

"If we want to deliver more responsively to our customers, should we hire and reward our employees differently?" This question is top of mind for many organizations increasing their agility and will be our focus for January. Our January meetup will be a facilitated lean coffee discussion on how agile organizations motivate, reward, and incentivize their talent. Attendees can download and review the whitepaper "What moves you?" ahead of the meetup for inspiration.

As many of you know, the Atlanta Business Agility meetup is part of a global organization known as the Business Agility Institute (BAI) dedicated to connecting, educating & inspiring individuals and organizations to become more effective and responsive versions of themselves. Typically, the local chapters (like the Atlanta BAM) operate independently with regards to speakers and topics. However, in January, 2020, the BAI is doing something different. The BAI recently launched the Business Agility HR Guild - a network of HR professionals who are focused on responding to the specific HR challenges associated with rapid change. To add focus, the BAI has asked the local BAM's to participate in a global effort focusing on HR challenges in January. We have agreed to participate and will be focusing our January meetup on how leading agile organizations motivate, reward and incentivize their employees. Attendees can review the BAI's whitepaper "What moves you?" ahead of the meetup which discusses current global research on the topic. We will be utilizing a lean coffee format for the meetup to keep the conversation relevant.
