September Topic: The Importance of Early Testing and How to do It
Presenter: Stephen Jones, CFTL-AT
In this session Stephen Jones will be discussing how Quality Assurance fits into the SDLC but, more importantly, where it SHOULD fit in the SDLC. The purpose of this discussion is to give Quality Assurance professionals and leaders the tools they need to promote the idea that Quality Assurance needs to happen much earlier in the SDLC.
- The benefits of QA being involved earlier.
- What activities the QA professional should be doing in each stage of the SDLC.
- How this methodology improves overall Quality.
About the Presenter:
Stephen has a diverse background in IT, Sales, and Running Small Businesses in small, "mom and pop" type organizations, large corporate environments, and everything in between spanning over 20 years. This business diversity has given him insights to user experience that helps improve software development. He has taken those skills and applied them to Software Quality Assurance and Business Analytics. He is a full cycle QA; meaning that he applies QA practices throughout the entire SDLC.
