Senior SQL Server Developer

This international industry leader has an immediate 6-12+ month contract opportunity (with strong chance for extension) in Montvale, NJ or Orlando, FL for a Senior SQL Server Developer. This position requires working in the office 2-3 days/week.

This position requires:

3-5+ years in SQL Server, including with Azure SQL.
Proven experience with Stored Procedures, Views, Handling OLTP Database, etc.
Experience working in a Cloud based solution/project.
Experience working in a high volume database Use Cases.
Experience in troubleshooting issues and providing support.
Experience in database sharding and managing multiple databases.
Exposure to Agile development, Git repository, Azure ADO

Responsibilities include:

Reviewing and interpreting ongoing business requirements from a data modeling perspective.
Coming up with data model/schema understanding business requirements and establish entity relationships.
Applying the right indexing strategy for optimal performance of queries
Developing, implementing and optimizing stored procedures and functions using T-SQL.
Analyzing existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
Developing procedures and scripts for data migration.
