This North American Transportation and Logistics industry leader has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Senior Payroll Coordinator. This position requires working in the North Dallas/Addison office 2 days per week.  Will work on a team that is responsible for payroll processing of over 10,000+ US employees on a weekly and bi-weekly basis in a fast-paced organization for a multi-state employer. Will be responsible for performing a variety of technical and professional duties involved in payroll processing and provide guidance and directions to other coordinators. This position is distinguished by more advanced and complex work performed and higher level problem-solving and decision-making skills and serve as a subject matter expert. This position is also responsible for the accurate and timely process of assigned divisions based on company policy and regulatory standards in an efficient and confidential manner.

Responsibilities:
• Processes bi-weekly and weekly payrolls for multiple divisions for both union and non-union employees in Multi-State and Multi FEIN (company codes)
• Audits the employee data change entries (new hires, changes, terminations) for accuracy and report discrepancies to payroll manager
• Maintains accurate payroll records for internal balancing and auditing procedures to reduce the possibility of payroll error and company liability
• Reconciles payroll reports prior to transmission and validate confirmed audits
• Assists with pear audits and review of payroll audit reports prior to final Manager audit
• Communication of potential issues to the Corporate Payroll Manager
• Research and resolve issues/inquiries regarding pay checks
• Prepares off-cycle checks and replacement checks
• Processes void transactions including ACH reversals
• Processes Benefits or Tax refunds
• Processes W2 Corrections
• Creates ad-hoc reports and utilize pre-designed reports for internal reporting needs
• Gains exposure to complex tasks and projects within the job function
• Participates in team-building activities and project work as needed
• Serves as complete backup for other Corporate Payrollstaff in payroll processing capacity
• Identify, review, and implements process improvements for Payroll Team
• Creates and updates payroll standard operating procedures and documentation
• Conducts training classes on payroll processing procedures and train new coordinators
• Provides superior payroll services support

Requirements:
• High School Diploma required but some college training or CPP Certification preferred
• Minimum 5+ years of multi-state/multi FEIN payroll processing
• knowledge of HCM software, ADP Vantage and Kronos preferred
• Ability to compute gross to net outside of payroll processing system
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive data
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced
environment
• Strong bias for action with a demonstrated track record of owning and delivering solutions
• Understanding of pay calculations, payroll processes, pay standards and wage and hour laws
• Self-starter, able to drive work forward within an agile environment
• High tolerance for ambiguity, challenge, and change
• Ability to show composure in difficult circumstances
• Attention to detail, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to take initiative,
as well as excellent time management and prioritization abilities is required
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products (i.e., Access, Word, Excel) including writing documentation that describes installation and operating procedures and the ability to write complex formulas and calculations; experience using pivot tables and vlookups
