Large Supply Chain / 3rd Party Logistics company in Dallas / Fort Worth is hiring a Senior Business Analyst for a contract-to-hire opening on their team.  This is a techno-functional role and it's necessary to have excellent communication and documentation skills. 

In this role, you will work with IT, Finance and Operations to identify and fully document the current EDI processes between the Transportation Management and ERP systems.  This effort will produce a baseline document for our Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash process improvement initiatives.  This is not a 100% remote position, as it's highly preferred that you work a hybrid schedule, 2-3 days/week onsite in Coppell, TX and 2-3 days/week remotely.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing.  To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.  Additionally, primary duties will include:
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Schedule and lead or participate in meetings to review business processes; ensure there is an agenda, meeting minutes, tasks/To Dos
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Perform business requirements analysis to identify impacted people/systems as well as anticipating requirements or uncovering areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Work closely with system users, technicians, consultants/contractors, managerial staff, senior leadership, partners, and clients. Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • Document Use Cases and Test Cases or peer review work products from junior staff.
  • Performing QA and/or User acceptance testing or review test case result from junior staff.
  • Managing projects, developing project plans, monitoring tasks and overall project performance.
  • Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency. Identify and help resolve constraint issues related to competing resources and priorities.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and complexity of requirements.
  • Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements and sponsoring projects to automate and modernize systems.
  • Admin support for Systems/Tools used by IT and other departments.
  • Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to department.
  • Implementing and maintaining IT procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS or related field or minimum of 7 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the logistics industry.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills. Able to listen and interact in a positive, respectful manner and establish cooperative working relationships.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills; Able to accurately interpret and document business requirements and processes.
  • Excellent documentation skills; Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and follow leadership directives at appropriate times
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to analyze information, problems, issues, situations, and procedures to develop effective solutions.
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects; effectively organize, prioritize, multi-task and manage time for self and guide the team.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio (or similar)
DESIRED SKILLS
  • 5 years of experience in the logistics industry with an understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Experience working with IT teams that are certified ISO/ SEICMM/SOX
  • Excellent customer service and the ability to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated productivity in a busy ever-changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information, identify and document problems/issues.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Experience with the following applications: Cargowise, WorldTrak, BlueYonder, WorkDay, Mulesoft, Tableau, Monday.com
