Position: Lead DevOps Engineer
Location: CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, 28202
Term: 9 months
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Lead complex initiatives on selected domains.
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk.
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost.
- Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies.
- Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature.
- Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.
- Mentor less experienced software engineers.
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers.
- Lead team to achieve objectives.
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively.

- Required Qualifications:
- Should be result oriented and be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic, evolving and complex environment ensuring high quality deliverables on time.
- A thorough grasp of Building, deploying, monitoring codebases and releasing them into Production using various DevOps Tools.
- 5+ years of experience configuring a custom CI/CD pipeline using GitHub, Jenkins, and UrbanCode Deploy (UCD).
- 3+ years of experience in UCD snapshots, processes, and environments.
- 3+ years Experience with SonarQube and BlackDuck scans.
- 5+ years of experience with GitHub, GitHub branching and merging strategies.
- 5+ years of experience managing processes on Windows and Linux, including writing shell/bash scripts, and using performance/memory monitoring tools to maintain the environment health.
- Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Cloud Technologies Microsoft Azure/Cloud Foundry/AWS.
- 2+ years of experience in Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform.
- 2+ years of experience in Containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.
- 2+ years of experience in Networking fundamentals such as Firewalls, Ports, VPNs, etc.
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
