- Kentico experience required; specifically upgrade experience v12 to v13
- Some DevOps exposure
- This position will primarily be doing maintenance and production support and supporting the upgrade
- There are a couple of people doing lower level support and this position is the escalation point before going to the vendor
- The application is highly customized. The vendor is the primary developer and customized configurations of the database. That is why they need a strong full stack developer with Kentico.
- Ideally this person would be able to train other team members
We are looking for a seasonal Kentico Developer to become an integral part of our industry-leading marketing and communication team. In this role, you will work closely with the Digital Product Lead and other developers to produce consumer facing websites. We are looking for someone with the skills and experience to help us empower results for our clients by thinking creatively, strategically, and functionally while working closely with the Consumer Experience business group to deliver exceptional results.
Job Responsibilities
- * Develop, modify, and maintain functionality on Kentico-based digital properties
- * Assist in the design, implementation, and upgrading of Kentico-based digital properties
- * Troubleshoot issues as well as assist in reporting on root cause and remediation when issues occur
- * Proactively communicate status with Digital Product Lead and regularly update workflow management tickets (i.e., Jira)
- * Adhere to agile sprint cycle timelines and responsibilities
- * Performs other duties as required
- Content Management System (CMS) Expertise
- * Strong software development background and experience with all aspects of web design, development, and support using a content management system and digital platforms
- * Understanding and experience of applying best practice user experience principles to deliver a cutting-edge user experience
- * Experience managing the interconnected elements of code and content deployments (i.e., server coordination) and quality assurance testing
- * Experience applying software development methodology and delivery via standard Agile practices
- * Kentico experience with large and/or complex projects (platform upgrades to Kentico v13, webparts coding)
Additional Attributes
- * 5-8+ years of development experience, particularly C# or Java, ASP.NET MVC, and NET Core
- * Mastery in web site and web application design/development using content management systems (preferably Kentico), SQL, and JavaScript
- * Must be comfortable working outside of core technology skillset when communicating business needs
- * Requires excellent communication, decision-making, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- * Ability to boil down complex concepts into concise, clear, and accurate technical direction for Digital Product Lead and other key stakeholders
