Position: IT Data Base Support Specialist (Remote)
Location: Memphis, TN 38125 - Remote
Term: 12 months
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Maintain multiple QA environments that are multi-system and multi-interface.
  • Monitor support ticket queue and investigate/resolve issues.
  • Pull data, load data, and remove data based on project needs while meeting IT Security requirements.
  • Trouble shoot and resolve environment issues that arise – working with team members – and members of other IT Teams.
  • Triage software vs. environment issues vs. data issues.
  • Maintenance tasks as required/requested.
  • Scripting as needed to improve processes.

  • High School Graduate/GED.
  • Experience using Unix/Linux from command line.
  • Unix scripting experience (KSH, bash, Perl, python).
  • Support Experience / Customer Service Skills.
  • Experience supporting QA Environments.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to self-start and work independently, while keeping the team updated.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.

  • Ability to handle stress and act with sense of urgency.
  • Aptitude and interest in learning new technologies.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and share knowledge.
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
  • Willing and able to work on-call rotation and travel as required (up to 50% travel).
Even better if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Understanding of and experience troubleshooting data issues in databases (Progress Experience)
  • Experience with ticketing software (ServiceNow, Footprints)
  • Progress 4GL experience.
