Position: Lead Software Engineer
Location: Concord, CA, 94520
Term: 12 months
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.

- Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrated technical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of design of infrastructure to support a high volume, multi-tier website.
- Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management.
- Recent and demonstrated ability to influence management on technical or business solutions.
- Demonstrated wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications, including hybrid cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership in the infrastructure development space.
- Experience in leading / facilitating analysis of current systems and problem identification and resolution.
- Ability to lead / facilitate technically complex discussions and working sessions in person or via teleconference.
- Experience in partnering with developers and architects from other teams to build solutions and resolve system and business problems.
- Experience with designing and implementing complex F5 or other Load Balancer Technologies.
- Experience with implementing end to end infrastructure solutions using a mix of on premises and cloud based infrastructure.
- Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with configuring and supporting application server software such as Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, MQ, Databases, etc.
- Experience with designing and implementing High Availability Database Configurations.
- Experience with Linux O/S capabilities.
- Experience with VMWare Virtualization technologies.
- Experience with designing and implementing solutions using security appliances such as Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
