Job Title: Financial Services Product Owner
Locations:
Hybrid in the office/remote -  Dallas or San Antonio, Texas, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Phoenix, Arizona, West Des Moines, Iowa
Length of contract: 24 months

In this role, you will:

  • Support the team to plan and deliver the product features and functions to meet prioritized enterprise objectives.
  • Work with stakeholders to manage the product roadmap and align it to business needs.
  • Conduct value-based intake and prioritization across requests, bring subject matter expertise on current and emerging customer domain and technology trends to offer strategic solutions to plan and deliver product capabilities that drive business value
  • Demonstrate data products and technology thought leadership; develop productive relationships with key data users and build strong sponsorship of the Utility strategy and roadmap
  • Capture, document and refine user stories reflecting business requirements
  • Partner with key business and technology stakeholders to champion the product vision, guiding principles, and roadmap
  • Provide guidance and direction to scrum teams tasked with product delivery
  • Capture and disseminate product OKRs and key performance indicators and business value (revenue gains, efficiency saves, etc.) and agile performance metrics (velocity, capacity, burn down)
  • Identify opportunities to continuously refine and optimize the strategic operating model
  • Support program planning and funding processes, to include support and refinement of annual funding requests, program prioritization, and executive and stakeholder communications
  • Develop and maintain agile strategies for prioritization, interdependency management, and scoping across use cases, organizations and competing priorities
  • Prepare Executive-level Communication and Cross-organization socialization of Product scope, approach, solution, value drivers, and upcoming asks
  • Facilitate critical strategic meetings to drive solutioning for the Product
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of overarching Product governance models and delivery to identify gaps and opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness gain
  • Advise experienced leadership to develop or influence business plans, business requirements, direct product design and implementation for complex business and technical
  • Serve as an adept advisor to leadership


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong product management experience that includes experience driving both technical and business-based product execution, prioritization, road map and strategy creation as well as implementation.
  • Advanced Agile experience preferably with formal Product Owner position experience
  • 7+ years of experience defining, documenting, and implementing user business requirements, policies, procedures, and processes
  • Experience working with customer data with a firm knowledge in how it is obtained maintained and utilized by the customer and Enterprise wide
  • Experience managing large and complex enterprise-wide programs/products
  • Expert level knowledge of product ownership, user-centric product development and delivery, and analytics platform development and delivery
  • Ability to balance short-term value delivery to the business with long-term efficiency and governance objectives
  • Experience leading in a matrix environment through influence and negotiation
  • Experience consulting, influencing, leading, and partnering with business executives, leadership, business partners and peers
  • Experience creating and presenting results of analyses and recommendations with the ability to adapt to audiences that include executive or senior level leaders
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and implement and deliver business objectives
  • Financial Services experience - Data Decisioning
