This international financial services industry leader has immediate full-time needs in Cary, NC for a DevOps Engineer.  Requires working onsite at least 2 days per week in a hybrid working model. This DevOps Engineer role requires real infrastructure experience and hands-on experience with creating CI/CD pipelines, connecting Linux boxes, etc.  The successful candidate will be proficient in Kubernetes, Jenkins, Linux, Docker, and Maven.  Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience is strongly preferred.  Will be part of the Corporate banking applications services team which services business areas spread across all APAC (Asia-Pacific), EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), US regions, and production support Engineering teams globally.  Will help deliver business benefits by building automation routines that are focused on removing manual processes and manual activities from a specific group or area.  In this role, you will provide support for P3+ Incidents, deliver Observability dashboards, and implement SLI (Scalable Link Interface) and SLO (Service Level Objective) framework. Automation areas of focus include provisioning, request fulfilment, self-healing, infrastructure as code and incident orchestration.

Responsibilities:
  • Implementation of production automation solutions for advanced analytic systems.
  • Develop DevOps solutions to support machine learning development and validation pipelines.
  • Create and prepare environments for testing, experimentation, development, and evaluation.
  • Deliver high quality solutions through innovative design aligned with strong development practices.
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, developers, and end-users to deliver working solutions and analytics in an Agile and iterative manner.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with Agile, Scrum, SaFE, and delivery teams.
  • Knowledge of VM and Container technologies (including Docker and Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (such as python, bash, and sh).
  • Knowledge of Linux Systems administration (such as Red Hat) and SDLC (Systems development life cycle) automation technologies (suchas Git, TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven, and Artifactory).
  • Experience/Knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) DevOps technologies, Monitoring and Event Management (ELK and Splunk), Test Automation, Infrastructure as code, and Terraform
