Do you have solid experience with SQL and have experience working with large data sets to write SQL and get data to load into a SQL Server database? Do you have experience scraping unstructured data as well using development tools such as Python and R programming languages? We are seeking a Data Analyst that has a solid technical background with SQL and SQL Server and can write SQL to load structured data into our proprietary application used throughout our firm. We have new data that comes to us quarterly so these ETL processes must be developed and executed periodically. Experience scraping data from Google and Yahoo financial sites would be idea or similar type of sites.

What skills/experience is required?

Strong SQL skills...working with SQL Server doing ETL work ideally with large data sets.
Some Phyton and/or R development experience and ab ability to write code to scrape unstructured data from various internet sites
Strong statistics type of background and experience working with financial data would be ideal.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
MJUST LIVE IN THE TAMPA, FL area

This is a contract role to start and you would be working 3 days/week from our Tampa, FL office so you would need to live in the Tampa area and be able to work from our office in a hybrid mode. There is a possibility that this role could go contract to hire and we can't sponsor a H1B visa.
