Position: Business Continuity Consultant
Location: Raleigh or Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, Des Moines, IA
Term: 12 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point of contact for technical matters related to testing and validation and operate as a primary contact for the Application and Platform teams.
  • Facilitate validation exercises with application team representatives to guide them through the process.
  • Have a solid understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery programs.
  • Manage data in SharePoint sites, form completion and reporting activities.
  • Complete pre-test prep work, create/track necessary change controls, and resolve issues.
  • Initiate security access requests for users coming into the test environment.
  • Work in an Agile based environment.
  • Working with various IT teams to review, govern, and document backup and recovery procedures, including Ransomware protection.
  • Highly analytical mind with a strong attention to detail.
  • Establishing enhanced BRVT testing methodologies and ensure that all exercises are sound and secure.
  • Understanding of Agile Delivery Methodology.
  • Coordination of planning across multiple teams and functional areas.
  • Working with infrastructure / application / backup platform teams to resolve technical issues for scheduled exercises.
  • Lead complex initiatives to provide technological solutions with broad impact for cross functional businesses and technology teams.
  • Act as a key participant in providing strategic business solutions to companywide technology initiatives.
  • Evaluate highly complex business problems and provide subject matter knowledge proficiency for technology initiatives.
  • Define and lead detailed research on business and technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements.
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of domain and technology applications, and which influence companywide technology solutions.
  • Lead project or systems documentation and monitor and manage project schedules and deliverables.
  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to provide comprehensive technological solutions for complex business problems.
  • Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams.


Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • 5+ years of technology experience demonstrated through work, military, or education.
  • Experience conducting BCP/Disaster Recovery testing exercises.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with database access tools such as Oracle SQL Developer, SSMS, MS Workbench and Compass.
  • Experience with Service Now modules for change control and other work.
  • 2 years of basic database knowledge.
  • 2 years of basic infrastructure experience.
  • 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
