User Architect - REMOTE

Our client is looking for a User Experience Manager to join their team for a 12 month contract in Irving, TX. In this role you will assist the Product team in driving the future state of products and service using user-centered design methodology. This candidate with be comfortable with complexity, architecting brand new solutions and experiences where the current solution is tedious and manual for several stakeholders.


KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES

  • Provide UX program oversight of all the  innovation space initiatives
  • Lead a group of UX designers, inspire and mentor them, serve as a champion of their work, guide them and elevate their efforts to the next level
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, product and technical leaders to gain alignment and shared understanding of the product vision and key goals
  • Contribute to strategic decisions that shape the future of the customer experience
  • Partners with key stakeholders, product and technical leaders to gain alignment and shared understanding of the product around its vision and key goals
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and articulate risks, trade-offs, and recommend priorities based on balancing customer needs, business needs and technical constraints
  • Gather feedback from others, and provide coaching and mentoring of direct reports


“MUST HAVE” SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Creative problem solver who leans into collaboration to create delightful experiences
  • Strong business acumen and experience in managing multiple stakeholders and leadership expectations
  • Strong expertise of the user-centered design process, methods, principles and skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile, Lean UX and Mobile First
  • Proficient in all areas of UX design including interaction design information architecture, visual design prototyping and user research
  • Solid proficiency in design, prototyping and collaboration tools
  • Experience working on a product from inception to shipment.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Comfort using Miro to build journey maps, diagrams, and flows strongly preferred
  • Familiarity designing with Figma is a plus
