This international network integration leader has an immediate 6-12+ month contract opportunity in Plano, TX for a Test Lead with Automotive industry experience. Will be working remotely initially but must be available to work onsite in Plano, TX in the future.

Job responsibilities:
  • Responsible for creating test cases from scratch.
  • Involved in testing the IVI features audio, video, navigation, VR.
  • Responsible for consolidated regression test suite.
  • Responsible for End to End test coverage analysis and enhancements test planning, execution and reporting defect escalation to appropriate teams.
  • Conducting Life-cycle test, End to End test and Final confirmation test.
  • Manage equipment setup, vehicle testing and perf testing.
  • Initial triage & Support automation.
  • Create, modify and execute automated test scripts.
  • Interface between internal customers and software development team on potential issues and enhancements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standup, sprint planning, sprint refinement and sprint demo.
  • Review and understand stories related to software fixes and enhancements of automation platform.
  • Responsible for evaluating each software release before deployment.
  • Report software issues and/or enhancement opportunities to Product Owner.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in leading and mentoring team.
  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Experience in scripting (including, but not limited to JavaScript, Python, LabView) and testing is plus.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in quality assurance of head unit systems, preferably (related but not limited to) Bluetooth, apps, handsfree calls and navigation functions.
  • Experience with agile and waterfall development cycles.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment including multiple parties such as team members, business partners and external suppliers.
  • Bilingual in Japanese and English is preferred.
