Position: Test Automation Coach 
Location: Charlotte, NC - San Francisco, CA - Phoenix, AZ - New York, NY - Des Moines, IA - Minneapolis, MN - St Louis, MO - Philadelphia, PA 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Educate various roles and levels of people on Automation Tools and Practices
  • Provide training sessions and teach skills that lead towards organization-wide adoption of automation practices                                                                             
  • Guiding teams towards using automation to drive efficiencies in Agile Sprints                        
  • Coach 2-4 Agile teams simultaneously on automation framework and practices implementation
  • Should work with stakeholders in setup and maintenance of automation environments and data
  • Providing team members with feedback and means of improvement and answering questions.
  • Provide hands-on support to all employees at times, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles including Dev-ops teams, development teams
  • Work with stakeholders to drive improvements and efficiency in SDLC through usage of automation practices                                                                               
  • The Automation Coach is responsible for designing a plan for the adoption of Automation (Domain-wide / enterprise-wide)                                                                
  • Use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency
  • Should provide guidance on Automation ROI Analysis                                                                      
  • Working Knowledge on SecDevOps and Agile processes and tools


  • Strong knowledge of and background on Automation frameworks, Tools, and Practices
  • Possessing prior experience coaching teams on Automation Frameworks and Tools
  • Proficient in design and development of test automation frameworks (Keyword, PageObject) using Java, Selenium, ALM, UFT, Appium, Perfecto, Web Services(SOAP/REST), XML, JSON, SQL, etc.
  • Experience coaching at small to medium organizations is a must, large organizations is a plus
  • Expected to work with other Coaches (Agile & SecDevIos) to drive overall coaching program
  • Strong programming experience on Java is mandatory
  • Knowledge of TDD/BDD/ATDD
  • Experience on integrating security and performance testing into DevOps pipeline
  • Strong Background on Linux
  • Proficiency in all or many of the following list of core skills: Confluence, JIRA, HP ALM, SonarQube, Junit, Selenium, Java, Javascript, Java Scripting, Java Best Practices, Maven, Jenkins, HP YFT, SQL, Cucumber, Gherkin, TDD 
  • Experience with performing development activities effectively using CICD tool chain including Git, Junit, Mavin/Gradle, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Artifactory, UDeploy, Others
  • Demonstrated ability to help teams improve feature delivery velocity through test automation and continuous improvement
  • Preferred 2+ years Cloud developer experience on managed K8's, PCF/TAS
