MATRIX seeks a Telecom Technician to join our team in a 100% Remote role!  This is a contract opportunity with our client, an established leader in the Digital Cloud industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Corporate PBX network design and Call Center technologies
  • Interact with the Fusion employees to resolve service affecting issues
  • Monitor and maintain the Fusion Corporate voice infrastructure
  • Monitor and maintain Cisco Unified Call Center and telephony services for the corporate environment
  • Escalate troubles to vendors/service providers when appropriate
  • Assist Tier 1 and Tier 2 with resolving routine trouble tickets
  • Provide feedback to Customers concerning service issues
  • Perform proper Trouble Ticket Entry and Administration
  • Adhere to escalation procedures and resolution processes
  • Will be required to work off hours and weekends as needed

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of Cisco Data Networking environments (CCNP or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of telephony technologies such as PRI, CAS, FXS, FXO
  • Knowledge of IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP-4, etc.)
  • Understanding TCP/IP networking
  • Understanding of voice and data networking concepts
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills; analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Required Education & Experience:

  • Computer Science Degree or equivalent expertise and industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco Unified Call Center Enterprise installations
  • Cisco IP Dialer, Email Manager and Unity experience
  • 2+ years’ Cisco UCCE software [ICM, CVP, IP-IVR] Enterprise development and deployment experience, including scripting, configuration and call routing
  • Experience with IP-IVR integration design or deployment
  • Experience with voice gateways H.323, SIP or MGCP protocol experience
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco equipment.
  • Experience with supporting platform and applications for IP based call recording solutions which includes Call recording, Quality Monitoring and Workforce Management
