Responsibilities include:
• Obtains data and information from review of documentation, drawings, schematics and reports, consultation with technical staff members and study of published material.
• Ensures adherence to specifications.
• Analyzes requirements, may develop source material, consults engineering and technical staff and works with editors, illustrators and the like in preparing a draft.
• Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Work is closely supervised. Builds stable working relationships internally. Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, and other personnel in group or department.
• Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity.
• Follows established policies & procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Contributions are usually limited to task-related activities. Errors do not typically have a major effect on the organization.
• Maintains an organized daily calendar
• Knowledgeable regarding the process of interacting with customers to provide positive experience and issue resolution.
• Communicates a strategy for the team or department.
Qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Journalism, Communications, or English.
• Technical writing experience.
• Proficient working with MS Office.
• Able to translate complex technical information into clear & simple language.
• Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prefer experience in a manufacturing setting
