Position Description

Our client, an industry leader in supplying products and solutions to telecommunications carriers and utilities nationwide is seeking a Technical System Support Specialist whose primary focus will be to provide support managing software development projects, support of our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software for end users across the company including documentation and end user training.  This position encompasses project coordination, writing test plans, troubleshooting, mobile device support and business analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

ERP Support

  • Troubleshoot end user issue within the ERP environment including Peoplesoft, Insight, DREAM 2.0, and other systems
  • Create, catalog, and maintain end-user and IT documentation for new software development
  • Provide end user training for new and established software
  • Provide back-up support for EDI as needed

 

Software Development Project Support

  • Review request for software enhancements and working with development team, establish a framework to manage the project
  • Serve as the point of contact with end users to manage software development projects
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Create, execute, and document test plans for new software development
  • Serve as the point of communication with end users maintaining communication for system issues, updates, etc.

 

Experience/Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Peoplesoft or equivalent ERP system
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Knowledge and experience supporting iOS and Android mobile devices at an end user level
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • IT professional with strong service orientation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of creating end user documentation and training
  • Preferred experience of troubleshooting EDI

Education:

  • Accredited college degree with a technical major, such as computer science, business, finance or equivalent professional experience
