Large 3rd Party Logistics company (3PL) is seeking a strong Program Manager to be the primary point of contact on multiple high visibility customer implementation projects.  This role is 100% remote with some US-based travel, not to exceed 25% but has been much less over the past year and a half due to the pandemic.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Program Manager, you will perform a variety of highly skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating, and managing multidisciplinary technical review teams made up of professional staff from various departments and functions.  You will interface with the customer and technical staff to ensure effective definition of and delivery of projects.  You will also provide regular and proactive communications to external customers and internal management teammates.  Additionally, the Program Manager will engage in the following activities:

  • Work with functional department leads to identify resources and establish the project team.
  • Measuring task delivery in defining, planning, execution and post production project phases concurrently for technology delivery, procurement of transport services and operational process development and training.
  • Facilitate communication between internal and external project teams to advance project deliverables.
  • Provide report on project status and budget at agreed cadence.
  • Facilitate risk assessment and mitigation throughout the project, and provide appropriate escalation to executive leadership.
  • Facilitate lessons learned prior to project closure.
  • Supports business start-ups for medium to large sized programs
  • Manages assigned projects using program management methodologies and techniques in accordance with established standards
  • Interacts with customers and internal functional support teams to ensure results are achieved
  • Develops implementation strategy to meet customer expectations
  • Develops and manages plans to include scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications and risks
  • Coordinates the identification of certification to begin live operations criteria
  • Monitors post implementation customer expectations and standards
  • Interacts with multiple levels including Sr. Management within the company and client organizations
  • Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience
  • Five (5) years or more related experience in Project Management required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Strong Supply Chain background, specifically 3PL knowledge is preferred.
