Terrific 3+ months contract for a Staff Appraiser in Irving, TX. Will support the growing number of valuation products including a full line of Appraisal products and Value Reconciliations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Will be reviewing Wholesale, Correspondent and Retail Appraisal products for superior quality, fielding phone calls and working with all business channels to achieve a high level of product quality.
Responsible for completing Value Reconciliations and training staff members on valuation techniques. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team setting and meet daily service level agreements and turn times.

Required Qualifications:

Current Residential Appraiser license.
3+ years of residential experience.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrable knowledge of appraisal concepts.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work overtime (OT) when needed.
Must be familiar with FNMA’s Collateral Underwriter system.
3+ years’ experience with Origination loans and Servicing transactions, such as Short Sales and REO Properties.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Appraisal license (an exception to the license can be made if the person has the appropriate experience).
Appraisal review experience.
National review experience.
Secondary market or portfolio evaluation experience.
Must be a licensed appraiser in multiple states, preferably California and Texas.
