Position Description:

Our client, a global leader in the deployment of leading edge IoT solutions for commercial enterprise applications is seeking a design professional to join a dynamic team of IoT industry leaders in the architecture, design and implementation of next generation IoT and spatial computing solutions. The ideal candidate will aid IoT, network, cloud infrastructure, and spatial computing architects and engineers in improving the intuitive nature as well as communicate the business value of their offerings. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have the ability to understand both the client’s business and technical environment and apply that understanding to design solutions which rapidly meet their needs. This role reports to a practice lead principle architect whom provides direction along with a lead contract designer.

Daily Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and refine content for business development presentations
• Understand requirements provided as well as help develop user friendly requirements
• Review projects and work with design lead, take on recommendations to iterate and refine client deliverables
• Function as a design consultant to commercial/enterprise customers
• Research and recommend technologies to improve experiences for client offerings
• Leverage the consulting group’s IoT and industry expertise to define intuitive and professional interfaces
• Translate customer requirements into integrated solutions
• Facilitate discussions with key internal stakeholders to ensure the future platform architecture and design supports the required and expected IoT solution to the client.
• Coordinate and communicate during projects with PMs, Architects, Developers, QA Testers

Required Skills

• • Portfolio examples displaying problem solving process (applications without will not be considered)
  • 2-7 years of experience in the following areas
    • UX information architecture, use case development, and wireframing
    • UI and graphic design pixel perfect prototyping
    • Experience creating interactive/clickable prototypes
    • Polished PowerPoint presentation skills
    • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and implement IoT solutions
    • Front End Development working knowledge (role is not expected to code but is expected to know capabilities and constraint of various offerings and be able to effectively dialog and orchestrate with developers to rapidly producing working prototypes)
    • Experience managing being assigned to 3-4 projects at a time with fluctuating efforts
    • Eagerness and examples proving continued learning and application of new technology, usability, and industry trends

  • Accessibility and usability knowledge
  • Competent front end development capability (JS, React, Unity, CSS, HTML)
  • Experience with telecom networks, infrastructure, IoT device integration and applications
  • Previous consulting (customer facing, consultative selling) environment
  • Data visualization design and CMS usage
  • Bug reporting and QA testing experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, UX Design, or Graphic Design or similar studio critiqued creative degree
• 5+ years of experience working as a UX Designer in lieu of degree
