MATRIX is seeking to hire a Sr. Scrum Master for our Fortune 500 client that's in the Supply Chain / 3rd Party Logistics industry.  The preferred location of this job is in Dallas / Fort Worth, TX and candidates must be local and be able to work onsite once a plan to return to the office is in place. Our client has started their Agile Transformation / Adoption initiatives and the foundation has been laid, but heavy work is needed with the Scrum Teams, as well as continuous and more targeted training and guidance is needed. This is a consulting role to start with, which will last 12 months+, or at any point after 6 months, the client can approach this consultant about converting to permanent.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will engage in heavy activities as a Sr. Scrum Master, setting in motion the necessary practices with the teams, then once operating smoothly at the team level, will start pushing forward with larger scale Agile Adoption / Transformation efforts, including SAFe as their Agile environment matures within their enterprise. In this role, you will be sensitive to current roles and responsibilities, demonstrate benefits of Agile Adoption to leadership and management at all levels, as well as gain support from the entire organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS

The ideal candidate for this role must have the following:

  • Very strong Agile Transformation experience as you will come into a very fast-paced software / systems development environment and build SCRUM teams that show value by increasing velocity and output. 
  • Must have very good communication, presentation, and overall people skills (soft skills).
  • Must have the ability to negotiate with confidence to work through challenges associated with Agile transformation resistance, including distractions created when working in a customer-driven development and support environment. 
  • Must have the ability understand and interact with a team of software developers, technical business analysts, software quality assurance, project / program managers, product owners, IT leadership, operations managers / directors, and other leadership roles that oversee large teams.
