This role is responsible for leading market benchmarking for the digital capabilities in order to drive strategic and operational improvements. This person will be responsible for performing in-depth market research and analysis to understand competitive positioning and market opportunities for relative industry leaders across key digital capabilities. Project responsibilities include targeted strategic assessments, solution implementations, and process design and improvement efforts. This role will collaborate closely with various stakeholder groups (e.g., strategy, product, innovation, marketing) to validate and communicate key findings and insights, as well as escalate insights and recommendations to leadership. This role will work with leadership to set a vision for the digital benchmarking function, and will be responsible for leading large, complex projects with minimal oversight and providing matrix oversight to peers on small to mid complexity projects in order to successfully execute against the vision of the benchmarking function.

Job Requirements: 

  • Requires a Bachelors degree plus 7 years of related work experience, or 11 years of related work experience in interpreting internal and external benchmarking data to produce insightful findings.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, outcome oriented, and project management skills. 
  • Experience influencing others to achieve objectives within complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Preferred experience in emerging digital technology, digital benchmarking, or the health insurance industry.
  • Preferred experience in defining frameworks used for benchmarking digital capabilities against those of key competitors and/or other relevant players in the market.
  • Preferred experience in converting complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports.
