Position:  Solutions Consultant
Location: Remote
Term: 2 months

Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Business Functional Liaison / Solutions Specialist
  • Demonstrates thought leadership to translate business / clinical / research needs into actionable and measureable analytic tools Proactively discovers opportunities, utilizing market research of emerging or available product functionality and operational readiness assessment, for the analytics teams to deliver value both systemically across the organization and within specific client focused areas
  • Serves on internal committees and participates on cross-functional teams to solve business or systems issues.
  • Analyze key operational objectives and, existing application products which could address client requirements and develops best overall fit and recommendations for solutions
  • Prioritize engagements with the highest business impact, developing a roadmap that aligns with the strategies and tactics of the organization
  • Engage other members of Enterprise Information and Analytics, Health Informatics, Advanced Analytics and Innovation, Clinical Systems, and Education teams to assess feasibility and deliver requirements
  • Develop and present insights to inform data driven decisions for senior leaders
  • Experience with retrospective as well as prospective / predictive analytics capabilities for forecasting and advanced analytics to drive strategic decision making.
  • Apply clinical and technical business knowledge to application development and provide project teams with information to make sound decisions related to clinical workflow and project phases such as testing and product acceptance.
  • Support users in integrating data and analytic tools into workflows
  • Ensure processes are scalable, flexible, and within governed parameters (security, enterprise standards) to meet future business need
  • Analyze, document and adjust workflow to maximize application functionality
  • Anticipate and communicate the needs of stakeholders affected by process change
  • Promote a culture of transparency and collaboration

  • Analytics / Business Requirements and Technical Team Coordination:

  • Ownership of a product development and direction of User Needs and User Stories, in an Agile environment with iterative sprint cycles
  • Ensure end to end requirements traceability to software test cases
  • Manage organization and maintain product and sprint backlogs
  • Drive collaboration with team members, sharing your knowledge, and continuously improving your craft ? Translate client vision into actionable functional requirements and can be implemented with minimal disruption to supporting systems
  • Analyze user requirements and assist in creation of project plans and defining function specifications.
  • Coordinate with business users to assist, support and directly manage development (when required), and determine/monitor measurements of success of analytics / reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with developers to create graphs and portal interfaces Project Management:
  • Assume overall project management responsibility and / or accountability. Leads project teams that include advanced analytics, business, and clinical staff to improve clinical informatics results and to provide advice and sophisticated metrics and analytics to support management / decision-making processes for systems modifications that are efficient, cost-effective, scalable, and meet present and future needs.
  • Assembles and directs large cross functional and potentially interdepartmental project teams, develops detailed project plans and schedules and monitors budget and resources.
  • Foster solid working relationships with senior level management and subject matter experts inside and outside of the organization
  • Manage lifecycle of enterprise analytic products from inception to optimization, including but not limited to system integration, projects such as dashboards, scorecards, reports, etc. across any business entity, overseeing or providing communications, interacting with vendors and managing risks.
  • Develop implementation and project plans and complete assigned project deliverables accurately and on time, including estimations of resource requirements and determination of impacted internal / external departmental groups
  • Involves managing technical projects, developing and implementing the organization's reporting, data and analytics systems and tools.
  • Monitor and drive resolution of issues
  • Identifies decision points that must be achieved to maintain project timelines
  • Document, communicate and escalate, when needed, status updates to team and analytics leadership
  • Prepare, oversee, and execute testing plans to ensure high quality results as required
  • Governance / Leadership
  • Development, maintenance and optimization of a repeatable enterprise analytics methodology and supporting set of tools and templates for performing data strategy, integration and analytic projects
  • Develop and facilitate maintenance of the semantic layer, metadata, reports, and report definitions
  • Serves as change agent and catalyst to enterprise data management and governance
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of enterprise self-service analytics library and tools.
  • Coordinate multi-departmental project teams and design stakeholder roles
  • Ensure all tools abide and adhere to Client enterprise security and privacy standards
  • Support and Technical Sustaining Operations
  • Support end-users and facilitate end user adoption
  • Collaborate with Technical team to educate customers on technical functionality of system
  • Train and provide support to users of data and analytic tools including education to core BI team and decentralized analytic customers
  • Communication / Education
  • Communicate with senior leadership / management and build key client relationships. Sustain deep customer relationships to exceed customer satisfaction
  • Presentations to internal and external customers/users, partners, and leadership as needed
  • Apply strong written and verbal communication skills will drive and direct the team
Is this a good fit? (Requirements)
  • Project leadership / management experience
  • Experience in health care business intelligence / analytics reporting, data mining, data analysis, and/or statistical analysis. healthcare business data management/ analysis and support, EA or IT consulting
  • Experience in information systems development, implementation of software development life cycle, with progressively more complex responsibilities and accountabilities
  • In-depth understanding of general business functions, processes, and overall business strategies preferably in the healthcare industry for areas including Inpatient / Outpatient environments,
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Strong project management / consulting skills with focus on managing multiple projects and consistently delivering on time and within budget that meet or exceed stakeholders' expectations.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to lead teams, manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to collect and analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate critical information across disciplines. Understands how projects relate to other business strategies and initiatives.
  • Ability to work with senior staff and managers in clinical information technology, health care management, and business analytics, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance
  • Excellent customer service skills to build service-based relationships
  • Exceptional leadership skills and proven success in managing and motivating teams, create an atmosphere of trust
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiations and consensus driven outcomes, and the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner
