This international network integration leader has an immediate 12+ month contract opportunity for a Solution Architect.  This position will be 100% remote and there's a strong chance for extension.  The Solution Architect joining the Project will be part of Digital Enterprise Architecture team and will play key role in Enterprise architecture domain.  

This role requires 10 or more years of experience in designing large and complex IT operations in large organizations or a research or academic environment. A candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing individuals. 

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Integrated DevOps tool chains and processes, operations automation, logging, and monitoring technologies with a focus on automation and self service

  • Solid understanding of Identity and access architecture design patterns/integration experience

  • Well-versed with API design patterns, tools, and technologies

  • Experience in developing current, transition and future state architecture artifacts /designs

  • Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the “why,” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation

  • Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.

  • Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications

  • Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis or equivalent related experience

  • Solid end to end solution architecture experience

  • Hands-on technologist with practical knowledge in CI/CD tool chains/platforms, infrastructure as code and with operation automations [AIOps]

  • Strong understanding of application development methodologies, and good exposure to identity and access architecture design patterns

  • Strong understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis, and design, and/or client/server systems

  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments [multi cloud, hybrid cloud and on prem]
