Position: Social Media Designer
Location: 1026 Park East Drive, Woonsocket, Rhode Island 02917
Term: 6 months (09/28/2020 to 03/19/2021)

Work Schedule: Mon- Fri 8:30- 5:00

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the management and design of monthly social media campaigns:
  • Organize brainstorms on content based on requests in the brief (includes partnering with social copywriter)
  • Summarize brainstorms and divide work up between myself and another designer
  • Finalize content ideas (usually includes 1 or more recipes per month)
  • Develop mocked up concepts and present ideas to director, senior creative leadership and social media partners
  • Schedule photo shoot and shop for products and props
  • Figure out environments for each shot
  • Art direct all shots
  • Photo editing and animating some/all final shots
  • Develop all final post layouts for Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest
  • Work with copywriting partner to get all final copy placed
  • Release all files to media team

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience as a designer with an additional 2 years of experience as a senior designer
  • Proven track record as a Sr. Designer, with examples of how their contributions assisted in the development of breakthrough social media campaigns
  • Ability to lead and generate impactful creative ideas and executions that deliver and adhere to the brand standards while ensuring consistency
  • Ability to understand creative briefs and translate the input into ideas
  • Have the ability to sell creative ideas
  • Knowledge of social media implementation and production
  • Ability to demonstrate a passion for strategic and creative problem solving and deep understanding of social media design to develop compelling ideas that are on brand and meet business objectives
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Well organized and able to communicate ideas and develop strategies
  • Strong team player with enthusiasm, positive attitude and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done, which may include extended hours when necessary to meet deadlines
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Technical skills include the Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and proficient on a Mac
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors Degree preferred in Architecture, Interior Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design or equivalent combination of education and experience.
