Role Overview:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist contractor to join our Marketing Effectiveness team. This team serves a critical role in managing the technology platforms powering various public facing web properties. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in quality assurance testing of web technologies in an agile delivery environment.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be primarily responsible for managing the testing efforts involved with our corporate project to upgrade our public website to Sitecore version 10. This role will work closely with our design, content management and development teams to draft and execute our testing strategy for the upgrade project.

This position will play a crucial role in helping to deliver the next iteration of our public website on Sitecore version 10.

Primary Responsibilities:

Automation Testing (30%) – Create testing automation scenarios (via Mable) to be run on new development.

Authoring & Executing Test Cases (30%) – Work with the project team to plan and execute manual testing against the acceptance criteria for all stories pertaining to the V10 upgrade project.

Acceptance Criteria (10%) – Interpret and refine acceptance criteria, ensuring it matches overall project requirements.

Reporting, Analysis & Tracking (10%) – Prepare reporting summarizing results of the automated testing efforts, create bug tickets for future remediation work and prepare documentation for formal sign off.

Continuous Process Improvement (10%) – Help us improve our QA processes making them more robust and efficient as part of transition to the day-to-day management, post launch.

Risk Management (10%) – Manage technology risk exposure and contribute towards mitigation efforts to minimize downside risk in collaboration with the broader Marketing Effectiveness team.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience on an agile development team in a Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering role performing manual testing and automated testing.
  • Test automation skills and experience with various automated testing tools (Mabl required, Selenium optional).
  • Experience writing comprehensive test plans and test cases and moving them into testing automation tools.
  • A firm grasp on how websites, web applications, APIs, databases, mobile apps, windows apps, and the cloud function at a high level.
  • Experience with technical writing and documentation, verbal communication, and presentation skills are a must
  • Experience with Agile Development practices (e.g. Scrum).
  • Familiarity working with technology delivery teams with cross-functional resources covering UX/UI design, development and engineering, communications and change management functions.
  • Experience working in financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in Computer Science or another related technical field.
