Global FinTech organization seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer for their massive cloud transformation efforts!!

Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) create a bridge between development and operations by applying a software engineering mindset to system administration topics. They split their time between operations/on-call duties and developing systems and software that help increase site reliability & performance. Responsible for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning.

Day-to-day: 
    • Collaborate with software developers, database administrators, and Linux Admins to develop tools and scripts to improve efficiency, support system automation, deployment, and continuous integration, and provide best practices for the application development team.
    • Script deployment processes and creating releases and patches
    • Work with other developers to resolve build and environment-related issues.
    • Test, build, design, deploy and maintain the CI/CD delivery process using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Git, etc.
    • Improve the CI/CD pipeline
    • Resolve build and environment-related issues
    • Implement and improve monitoring and alerting
    • Improve existing processes by way of automation
    • Deploy new modules and upgrades and complete fixes within the development environment.
    • Drive continuous improvement efforts
On a regular basis:
    • Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before deployment
    • Work with the developers to have a clear understanding of code changes to write scripts
    • Troubleshoot application and developer environment issues in a Linux environment
    • Design, develop, and implement automated testing systems and evaluate the output
    • Experience with web server configuration, SSL/TLS certificate, and Java KeyStore management
    • Update processes and design new processes as needed
    • Establish DevOps Engineer team best practices
Ideal candidate has 3+ years with a mix of the following: 
    • Coding and the software development lifecycle process
    • Managing Linux/Unix infrastructure
    • Hands-on experience with at least one scripting language such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Groovy, Bash
    • Experience as a DevOps Engineer
    • Experience in SW and Infrastructure development 
    • Critical thinking & problem-solving skills
    • Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
    • Exceptional communication skills required due to the extensive collaborative role
    • Experience with Linux, Jenkins, XL Release, version control, Git, Ansible, Groovy, XL Deploy/Release, or similar Continuous Integration/Deployment tools, and Terraform
