Excellent Direct Hire Senior Systems Analyst for a thriving Insurance Broker, great career opportunity and compensation!
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Onsite 2-3 days per week 

Summary: The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for managing, facilitating, and authoring requirements and specification documents for insurance software projects. Additional responsibilities will include team coordination, test management, and coordination of offshore development teams and branch office teams.  Experience with insurance policy and billing system integrations and configurations is highly preferred. Experience in implementing insurance products at insurance companies is preferred. Ability to write SQL is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

    • Business unit and I.T. team facilitation and coordination
    • Author requirements and specifications documents for insurance software projects
    • Author test plans and scripts and coordinate user acceptance testing
    • Communicate requirements and specifications to offshore development staff
    • Integrate offshore software development schedules with full project schedules
    • Liaison to offshore development team
    • Matrix manage business and technology team members during the software SDLC
    • Collaborate with senior technicians on technical designs

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years’ experience in insurance industry
  • 8+ experience in executing systems analyst role on software development projects
  • Experience in authoring transactional system requirements and specifications
  • Experience in wire-framing a plus
  • Agile
  • JIRA
  • Ability to write complex SQL Queries
