Senior SQL Server/Oracle Database Developer

This nationwide industry leader has an immediate 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity in Dallas-Ft. Worth for a Senior SQL Server/Oracle Database Developer with solid Analytics skills.  Will be working 100% remotely from home until the office reopens post-COVID.  Will then have some flexibility to work from home or in the office in Farmers Branch. 

Will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, designing, programming, testing, debugging, and documenting new and current applications to meet business process and application requirements.  Will be utilizing data mining to assist in the preparation of standard & non-standard reports. Will also be providing analytic support in an agile environment to multiple departments & business units and performing special departmental projects as directed.
 
Responsibilities:
•    Maintaining current applications for business continuity.
•    Overseeing the deployment of data to the data warehouse.
•    Developing policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data.
•    Creating or discovering new data procurement and processing programs.
•    Monitoring analytics and metrics results.
•    Implementing new data analysis methodologies.
•    Reviewing customer files to ensure integrity of data collection and utilization.
•    Performing data profiling to identify and understand anomalies.
•    Assisting in functional and business process related data file development, cleaning, scheduling, SFTP/ ETL and validation.
•    Working collaboratively with team to develop software solutions to meet customer needs.
•    Creating and implementing the source code of new applications.
•    Utilizing industry-accepted testing methods troubleshoots flaws.
•    Customizing existing code to ensure efficiency and functionality.
•    Researching and implementing new technology to enhance current processes, security, and performance.
•    Supporting the development of coding standards and adhering to best practices and security guidelines set forth by the development team.
•    Always maintaining a high degree of confidentiality due to access to sensitive information.
•    Maintaining regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department.
•    Following all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements.
•    Abiding by all regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s Degree, (BA/BS) in Information Systems from a four-year college or university and 10 or more years of development experience required or equivalent combination or education and experience.
•    Experience in Healthcare industry is desired.
•    Technical expertise’s in  Oracle and Microsoft SQL (tuning, schema maintenance, store procedures and triggers), Microsoft SQL Server Reporting, Integration and Analysis Services (with MDX), Data warehouse, Data Modeling, Data Mining, Tableau and Data Visualization, Distributed Source Control (i.e. Git).
•    Experience a plus: Mongo DB, Angular, Scala/Java, RESTful Web Services, API authentication schemes, ASP.Net, (C# and MVC Framework), Web Services, WFC, AJAX, Classic ASP, Client-side JavaScript, SMTP (with CDO).
•    Technical expertise or experience in containerization, Tomcat Application Server, Continuous Integration/Continuous Development tools and methodologies, Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development preferred.
•    Excellent working knowledge of Systems Development Life-Cycle in information systems and software design.
•    Excellent working understanding of the information technology environment.
•    Experience with Agile development principles and guidelines and Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
•    Familiar with Jira and Confluence.
•    Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology.
•    Travels as necessary.
