Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst

Terrific 10+ month contract opening in Irving, TX for a Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst.  Will assist in completing an Improved Metrics and Reporting Initiative.  Will join a Compliance Risk Management group responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protect the franchise. Will support of the Metrics and Reporting project, which covers Key Indicators, Threshold Calibration, Path-to-Green and Update of Policy Documents and includes partnering with key stakeholders within and outside of the group. Will participate in Business As Usual work such as Manager’s Control Assessment activity, update of Compliance Risk Appetite training, reporting administrative support and support of project related activities after implementation.  

Key activities include Project based and Business As Usual tasks:

Project based tasks:
•    Engage with and manage global stakeholders including providing support and advice on Key Indicators and Path-to-Green deliverables
•    Engage with global dimensions and support the rollout of the Threshold Calibration process
•    Develop procedures to support Metrics and Reporting project such as Path-to-Green Procedure 
•    Update Issue and Corrective Action Plans in the system by gathering supporting evidence and submitting as appropriate 

Business As Usual tasks: 
•    Manage Manager’s Control Assessment (Activity, Risk, Control & Monitoring) activity for Compliance Risk Appetite team
•    Update Compliance Risk Appetite training for 2021
•    Provide reporting administrative support (scope expanded to 26 dimensions)
•    Provide Path-to-Green support including template population, Quality Control assessment and process management
•    Provide support on Threshold Calibration
•    Support Enterprise Compliance Risk Appetite Statement adoption by Risk Categories, Sectors, and Material Legal Entities 

•    Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree (e.g. JD, MBA) is a plus.
•    Must have strong experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm.
•    Deep understanding of risk management and risk appetite-related programs.
•    Experience working on risk projects and responding to mediation situations.
•    Understanding of risk frameworks.
•    Experience working with C-level global stakeholders to assess and provide plans to give them a path back to green. 
•    Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization; to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level.
•    Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate international stakeholders, i.e., attending early or late meetings dependent upon global time zones. 
•    Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills.
•    Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized.
•    Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging.
