This Dallas-based nationwide industry leader has an immediate 12+ month contract opportunity for a Senior IT Project Manager.  Will be remote however the focus will be on candidates within the DFW area that could come onsite if/when needed in the future.  This position requires:
  • 5+ years of IT Project Management experience with large projects including a website implementation (will be managing a vendor that is developing a website).
  • Experience working in a startup environment, or similar, with digital marketers to design and build engaging platforms for distinctly targeted user communities. 
  • Extensive experience with a variety of web based and online technologies which may include: Websites, IT Service Desk Software, Learning management and survey/data collection portals
  • Vendor Management experience.
  • Expert knowledge of project management principals, practices and procedures
  • Expert with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong with a project scheduling software tool
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong ability to understand and document internal and external processes and workflows and makes recommendations for improvement.  Must be able to create diagrams in MS Visio to present complex ideas in a way that is easily understood by the team
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience, which could include vendor management as well as working with in a matrix organization structure 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills, must be able to create presentations in MS PowerPoint to present complex ideas in a way that is easily understood for various types of audiences (team, stakeholders, customers, executives)
  • Strong facilitator and negotiator
  • Prefer experience with WordPress, IT Service Desk Software, Learning Management Systems, Survey/Data Collection Portals, and Master Databases used for analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Work on multiple large IT projects including a custom website development, Ticketing, Reporting, Master Database, Analytics, and Reporting.   
  • Involves extensive interaction with product development and other members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products to clients. 
  • Acts as lead interface with the customer (internal and external) regarding project deliverables. 
  • Develops the project plan, including project scope, development/delivery schedule, resource requirements and integration efforts.  Manages the expectations of the project sponsors, team members, and customers.
  • Manages the details of overall project schedules and deliverables.  Implements corrective actions to bring projects back on schedule.
  • Accountable for meeting project schedules.  Records and monitors project actual costs vs. project budget, accountable for managing to budget.
  • Motivates, and directs project team, sets goals, objectives, priorities, assigns/reviews work and resolves conflict.  
  • Mentors less experienced team members.  
  • Establishes appropriate staffing plans and manages the staffing process including resource additions and deletions over the life of the projects.
  • Provides feedback on performance against deliverables.  Makes recommendations for improving efficiency, product delivery and expense reduction in projects.
  • Develops and manages a project communication plan to include content, frequency, audience and channels.  Provides clear & reliable communications to internal teams, project stakeholders, external vendors, customers.
  • Ensures that approved methods, processes and tools are consistently used, include change, issue, risk and quality management. Selects methods and procedures for new assignments and provides guidance to other personnel.
