This fast growing mortgage industry leader has an immediate 5-6+ month contract opportunity (with strong chance for extension or conversion) in Plano, TX for a Senior Project Manager with Mortgage Origination project experience. Will work 100% remotely.  This Senior Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the VP, Project Management Office in planning, implementing and managing projects that support the priority and strategy of the company. This position will be highly visible across the organization and will require frequent interaction with employees at all levels including Executive Management.  Immediate projects involve Ellie Mae Encompass and AIQ Document Management Systems rollouts.

This position requires:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • 3-5+ years Project Management experience

  • 3+ years Mortgage industry experience working on Mortgage Origination business projects.

  • PMBOK and Agile/Scrum experience.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.   

  • Experience working with outside vendors.

  • Encompass experience is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and implementing programs and/or projects in a cross functional team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, communication and negotiating skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, Access, Project, PowerPoint and Visio.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate with professionals and managers internally and externally to meet timelines and requirements.

  • Solid research, analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Ellie Mae Encompass and/or AIQ Document Management System project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing multiple projects including new system installation, integration, training, testing, applications, and business processes.

  • Managing the research, planning and execution of projects related to, and in support of, strategy including analysis, specifications, planning, stakeholder engagement, communications, risk mitigation, and reporting.

  • Developing, implementing, and managing various tracking and reporting systems in support of IT and PMO needs, e.g., scrum ceremonies and reporting, best practices communication, organizational alignment, strategic planning and reviews, key performance indicators, planning and budgeting, workforce alignment and others.

  • Building productive relationships with business area management.

  • Collaborating effectively with other IT team members, including Product Owners, Developers, QA Testers, Network and Infrastructure, Help Desk Support and IT Management.

  • Developing business cases by interacting with stakeholders from multiple business units.

  • Partnering with Product Owners to engage with Business Units and ensure clarity on the business needs within project efforts.

  • Removing obstacles and impediments during sprints and during project activities.

  • Facilitating the early escalation of issues and the prioritization of IT activities, especially in the event of resource conflicts.

  • Effectively working across a varied group of business lines and management levels to create a strategy-focused culture that understands the risks of mortgage lending, to include effective training, collaboration and both internal and external customer service.
